David and Jon Freeman, both directors of Lumenautica Ltd, have been designing and manufacturing illuminated yacht signs & logos for over a decade now and even installed some of the first fibre optic yacht names on super yachts back in the year 2000. David has been in the yacht trade for over 40 years now and his son Jon has been designing and manufacturing yacht name boards since 2001. Lumenautica’s illuminated yacht signs are taken from a custom or existing font and logo right the way through the design and manufacturing process and even finished by hand all ‘in house’. They use only the finest grade raw materials as this is what is required in today’s industry and both David and Jon expect nothing less. Materials include hand selected, 316L grade stainless steel sheet / plate in a variety of thicknesses, cast acrylic, BIN colour selected double sealed IP67 LEDs and the best marine grade adhesives and primers available.
During the manufacturing process, both David and Jon have a watchful eye on the quality of each and every manufacturing step and process so that no products whatsoever, enter the market below par. With standards such as they are in the yachting trade, this is a must.
David and Jon will also self inspect the finished illuminated yacht signs in a ‘dark room’ environment to make sure there are no electrical faults and to make sure the lighting is even and correct. Lumenautica’s yacht signs incorporate a homogeneous halo lighting effect where no LED ’spotting’ or highlights seen around the yacht name. Many companies do not incorporate this and will supply a yacht name with LED high spots and in turn cheapening the look and feel of the sign.
As well as completely new signs, Lumenautica will also refurbish your existing illuminated yacht signs. This could include a complete overhaul which would involve, re-polishing of stainless steel letters, re-spraying and painting, updating broken or poor LED and fibre optic light sources and even replacing the acrylic backing letters which may have cracked and crazed over time.
